I live across the street from a grocery store and that means we get about one grocery list per week blown into the yard from their parking lot. So far my favorite one consisted of four types of batteries and two types of canned fish, NOTHING ELSE.
I surprisingly got a lot of stories about how people really enjoy collecting other people's grocery lists and how endearing it is to them. It feels sort of like looking through their pantry a bit. Although now I'm trying to understand what one does with that many types of batteries and I am mildly concerned now.
Definitely sounds like a partial list (I hope) maybe this was stuff they forgot last time? Also, how dare you profane the most holy of Canadian liquids, maple syrup!?*
* As a Canadian I am legally obligated to sing it's praises every time it's mentioned. how'd I do?
I agree with Brian, I found this oddly compelling! I also wanna note that even though Norway doesn't excel in a wide variety of cereals nor crackers, every Norwegian supermarket has Cheerios and Ritz. They're like.. default snacks? 😆
(Side note: my cat's name is Junior, and in my sleep-deprived state, I'm terrified he's going to self-anthropomorphize and demand "coconut water oatmeal with meat and pancake syrup")
Haha wow bitchin sauce has made it. I first saw them at our farmers market in San Diego. Thought they were just locally at our Costco but guess they’re nationwide now.
If you were taking the easy way out I see this grocery list being for a pasta bake situation and a berry crumble dessert. Can’t wait to see your One Master Dish!
Last month I improvised a pie crust using Ritz crackers instead of graham (because I didn't realize someone had eaten the last sleeve but hadn't tossed the box 😐) and filled it with a blend of MACerated strawberries and cream...so maybe someone had a similar thought using blueberries?
I think I would do that were I feeling a bit mischievous. In fact, I gotta get me a Costco membership; the CostCompany only 2 yrs ago graced Dallas proper with one; previous to then Oklahoma was the “closest” one. But since I am old now and hate to cook (just wait you kids…it’s inevitable you know!) I’ll sit back and instead revel in the Lee family excursion. Til next week!! 🫡🤡

I assume they have broad and discerning taste in portable vibrators.

Ah, Dannis’ famous Beef ‘n Berry Sundae!
It's like I've been transported to a world where Dennis Lee buys bland normal non-fucked up family-appropriate groceries
