I've never actually had crab rangoon. I always assumed they were just cheesecakes in fried wonton wrappers. This is... an unwelcome wake-up call.

My brain went the other way on this. Deep fried crab rangoon wonton wrapper with a cheesecake inside... But I suppose that would be too reasonable for this newsletter.

I’ve eaten that and yes, it’s as delicious as you’d imagine. It involved pineapple as well and was awesome! I’d also eat this cheesecake lol it looks great if a bit weird (which is how I like my Food is Stupid posts)

I want to make this as a hot dip with fried wontons as the chip... thought I’d probably have to fry the chips myself and then I would get mandu frying flashbacks (my mom would make me fry mandu for any parties they had!)

I've actually made a crab rangoon style warm dip with veggie dippers for a party that was gluten free (so no crackers etc) and it was good!
